Biochem/physiol Actions
Nuclear cap binding protein subunit 2 (NCBP2) is one of the components of cap-binding complex (CBC). The CBC is associated with RNA processing and localization within the cell. It specifically binds to capped RNA.

General description
Anti-NCBP2 antibody detects endogenous levels of total NCBP2 protein. Nuclear cap binding protein subunit 2 (NCBP2) is also known as cap-binding complex 20. NCBP2 codes for a 156 amino acid protein and is phylogenetically conserved. The protein consists of two RNA recognition motifs (RRM) in between the N- and C-terminal domains. The NCBP2 gene is mapped to human chromosome 3q29.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human NCBP2.Immunogen Range: 10-59
Physical form
Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
