Biochem/physiol Actions
C-terminal Src kinase (CSK) is known to support dengue virus replication. CSK negatively controls Src, an oncogenic protein found to be upregulated in various types of cancer. CSK is responsible for Src phosphorylation at tyrosine 530, which inhibits its activity. It controls immune response, by preventing T cell activation through its association with lymphoid-specific phosphatase. CSK possesses SH2 domain, a regulatory domain that mediates its binding to scaffold proteins for membrane translocation. This regulation is known to elevate CSK′s activity.
