Western Blot Analysis: A 1:1.000 dilution of this antibody detected KL1 on 10 µg of U2OS cell lysate.

General description

Katanin-like 1 (KL1) is a mitotic regulator that is very closely related to katanin. KL1 is thought to be involved in microtubule severing because increased expression of KL1 leads to total disassembly of microtubules. KL1 is seen to localize to the spindle poles during mitosis, not to the centrosome.

Target description

~55 kDa observed. Uncharacterized bands at ~210, 150, 63, and 45 may be observed in some lysates.
