General description
Atg4D (autophagy-related protein 4D) is a member of the Atg4 family of C54 endopeptidases that are required for the synthesis of autophagosomes. Atg4D is found to be cleaved by caspase-3 into a more active form where it can interact with the autophagosome marker Atg8. Atg4D is also known to be associated with mitochondrial dysfunction and the induction of apoptosis.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the N-terminus of human Atg4D.
Epitope: N-terminus
Other Notes
Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.

Affinity purified
Purified rabbit polyclonal in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blot in A431 cell lysate.
Western Blot Analysis: 0.05 µg/mL of this antibody detected Atg4D in 10 µg of A431 cell lysate.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes Atg4D at the N-terminus.

Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.
Target description
~56 kDa observed.
The calculated molecular weight is 53 kDa; however, Atg4D has been shown as a ~55 kDa band in western blots (Li, M., et al. (2011). J Biol Chem. 286(9):7327-7338.)
